Arch pain is a common foot concern. The arch of the foot stretches from the base of your toes to your heel, and plays an important role in any activity where you’re on your feet. 

TREATMENT

  • Apply an ice pack wrapped in a cloth for 10–15 minutes to the arch and other tender areas to help reduce swelling.

  • When a person stretches their calves, they can relieve pain and pressure on the arch of the foot.

                 
  • A person can use a tennis ball or a small foam roller to perform a massaging stretch on the foot. This technique is easiest to do while sitting.
